Southern Alberta to be promoted for Investment and Training

Provincial bio-energy grant spurs growth near Lethbridge

A bio-gas development near Lethbridge that will turn organic waste to energy products has been approved for $1.5 million in provincial grant funding. The facility will use local livestock manure and food processing waste as feedstock, creating an innovative value-added opportunity in the community.

Lethbridge College steps on world wind-turbine stage

The college announced at a Canadian Wind Energy Association conference today in Montreal it has purchased nine turbines from a local wind-energy provider that will become the core of a three-stage program it expects to eventually market worldwide.
